Fort St. John police report third shooting in three weeks

Police in Fort St. John, British Columbia, have reported a third shooting in three weeks, describing the recent violence as an ‘unacceptable risk to public safety.’

In the latest incident, which occurred on a Friday inside a home on 107A Avenue, three individuals were shot and hospitalized in stable condition. No suspects have been identified. The RCMP serious crime unit has taken over the investigation, searching the residence and seizing vehicles for forensic examination.

This incident follows a drive-by attack on August 6, during which bullet holes were discovered in two homes, a vehicle, and a travel trailer. Authorities believe these are targeted attacks. Sgt. Jaime Moffat of the Fort St. John RCMP stated that significant investigative and enforcement resources are being dedicated to identifying those responsible and preventing further violence.
