During the 39‑day 2026 FIFA World Cup, the historic Fort Worth Stockyards district recorded more than 1.8 million visitors, nearly double the 974,200 it drew the previous year. Cowtown Coliseum sold a record 55,000 rodeo tickets, and attendance at the twice‑daily cattle drive rose 36%, turning the normally quiet summer into the busiest period for the area. District officials, including senior vice president of marketing Ethan Cartwright, said the influx of international tourists from countries such as Colombia, Brazil and Singapore, along with a royal visit from Japan’s Princess Takamado, blended global soccer culture with classic Texas traditions.
