Fort Worth Texas Temple dedication and open house announced

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the dedication and open house schedule for the Fort Worth Texas Temple. Located in Burleson, the temple is scheduled to be dedicated on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2027, making it the first temple to be dedicated in that year.

Before the dedication, the public is invited to tour the building during a free open house from Thursday, Nov. 5, through Saturday, Nov. 21, 2025 (excluding Sundays). A media day is scheduled for Nov. 2, with private tours for invited guests on Nov. 3-4.

The temple is a single-story structure of approximately 30,000 square feet situated on a 9.37-acre site. This will be the sixth operating temple in Texas and the second in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metro area. Construction on the site began in October 2023 following the initial announcement by President Russell M. Nelson in October 2021.
