Fortaleza announces 156 attractions for Cultura na Calçada program

The Fortaleza City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat of Culture (Secultfor), has announced the selection of 156 artistic attractions for the ‘Cultura na Calçada’ program. The initiative is scheduled to run from September 25 to December 12, 2026.

The program aims to decentralize cultural policies by bringing performances to the sidewalks across the city's 12 administrative regions. The selected participants include artists, groups, and collectives representing seven artistic languages: music, dance, traditional popular culture, theater, literature, circus, and multilinguages. The selection was made from over 400 applicants via a public notice.

The schedule is organized into three cycles, with performances occurring on Fridays and Saturdays. The first cycle will take place in September and October, covering administrative regions 4, 5, 8, and 10.
