Fortaleza hosts mental health awareness event for Setembro Amarelo

The Rede Memorial Fortaleza and Instituto Revoar will host the “Voando Alto Pela Vida 2026” event on September 12, 2026, at Parque do Cocó in Fortaleza. The initiative is part of the “Setembro Amarelo” campaign, which focuses on suicide prevention and the promotion of emotional care.

The program begins at 6:00 AM and includes yoga classes and a breakfast designed to encourage self-care and connection. The event aims to foster dialogue regarding mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and panic disorders, emphasizing the importance of seeking help and strengthening support networks.

According to the World Health Organization, more than 720,000 people die by suicide annually, highlighting the global urgency for mental health awareness and the reduction of stigma surrounding emotional suffering.
