Fortaleza to host Maratona 42K Terra da Luz in September
The Maratona 42K Terra da Luz – Fortaleza de Costa a Costa will take place in Fortaleza, Brazil, on September 5 and 6. Organized by Nova Letra Eventos Criativos, the event features a 7 km race on Saturday, followed by 21 km and 42 km races on Sunday.
A new two-day challenge allows athletes to combine the Saturday 7 km run with either the half-marathon or full marathon on Sunday, totaling 28 km or 49 km. The race starts and ends at Cais do Porto, near the Mucuripe Lighthouse.
Organizers expect approximately 6,000 participants, including over 300 from other Brazilian states and 17 international competitors. The route is designed to showcase both the historical and urban landscapes of Fortaleza, including the Praia do Futuro and Sabiaguaba regions.
