Forte dei Marmi leads Italy's ultra‑luxury seasonal rental market

A report by real‑estate portal idealista/data shows that 16 of the 31 ultra‑luxury holiday homes in Italy, each renting for more than €50,000 a month, are located in the Versilia coastal area, with the majority concentrated in Forte dei Marmi. Three villas in Forte dei Marmi command a record €150,000 per month, the highest rental price ever recorded in the country. The stretch between Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta accounts for 61 % of all high‑end seasonal rentals (19 of 31 listings). Additional premium properties are found in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Castiglione della Pescaia, Orbetello and the Costa Smeralda town of Arzachena, illustrating the geographic spread of Italy’s elite vacation market.

These figures highlight the concentration of wealthier tourists in the Versilia region and underscore the premium pricing power of its villas, which feature extensive private grounds, pools and sea‑view locations.
