Forte dei Marmi reports 26% decrease in crime

The Lucca Police Headquarters has released data showing a 26% overall decrease in crime in Forte dei Marmi, addressing recent public concerns regarding local security.

Specific reductions include a 71% drop in snatch thefts, a 66% decrease in pickpocketing, a 29% decline in residential burglaries, and an 18% reduction in robberies. The police attributed these trends to increased personnel, specialized units, and the implementation of an extensive video surveillance network supported by the local administration.

During the summer period, authorities conducted checks on more than 13,000 individuals and 6,500 vehicles. Additionally, the police issued 20 mandatory expulsion orders (fogli di via) from the territory.
