Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel gallery announces new exhibitions

The Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel gallery is launching two new exhibitions in São Paulo on August 22. The shows include ‘Vonta de vi dada dada’ by Ernesto Neto and ‘O homem nu’ by Efrain Almeida.

‘O homem nu’ serves as a panoramic retrospective of Almeida’s work, featuring pieces created between 1995 and 2024. This marks the first collection of his works made available by the gallery following the artist's death. The exhibition explores themes of spirituality, desire, and the connection to the body, utilizing various media such as sculpture, installation, painting, embroidery, and watercolor. Almeida’s work often incorporates elements from the Cariri region and contrasts Catholic imagery with the nude.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until October 24.
