Forthing Friday Reev electric SUV and Chevrolet Onix Activ hatchback debut in Argentina

On 21 July 2026, Oriente Motors began commercialising the Forthing Friday Reev, a plug‑in electric SUV with a 32 kWh battery that offers up to 200 km of pure electric range and up to 1,100 km when the 1.5 L gasoline engine assists. The vehicle can charge to 80 % in about 40 minutes and features a 15‑inch touchscreen, panoramic roof and 360° camera.

A day earlier, at Expo Rural 2026, Chevrolet unveiled the new Onix Activ for the Argentine market. The B‑segment hatchback uses a 1.0‑liter turbo three‑cylinder engine (116 hp, 160 Nm) paired with a six‑speed automatic, adds 201 mm of ground clearance, and includes safety equipment such as six airbags and lane‑assist. Priced at 35,043,900 pesos, it is slated for dealer delivery in August.
