Forthing, a brand under the Chinese group Dongfeng, is expanding into the French market with a scheduled arrival in 2026. During the Mondial de l'Auto, the brand showcased four models, including the electric and plug-in hybrid TK5 SUV, the plug-in hybrid TK7 SUV, and the V9 PHEV Camping Edition van designed for the 'vanlife' segment.

Unexpectedly, the Mondial de l'Auto announced that several Forthing models may be produced at the Stellantis factory in Rennes, France. While the event organizers reported this potential production shift, Dongfeng has not officially commented on the matter, and Stellantis has maintained a cautious stance regarding the announcement.
