Fortience Consulting targets 10 billion yen revenue with new FDE-style model
Fortience Consulting, a subsidiary of the NTT Data Group, is expanding its service offerings through a new “FDE-style consulting” model and specialized AI training programs.
The FDE-style model, inspired by the Forward Deployed Engineer approach used by companies like Palantir, aims to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical implementation. By integrating those who understand business needs with those who build systems, the company seeks to eliminate the inefficiencies of the traditional “baton pass” between consultants and developers. Fortience has set a revenue target of 10 billion yen for this core business within five years.
Additionally, the company has launched “AI Citizen Development Training,” a hands-on program designed to teach employees how to operate AI agents independently. The training focuses on a bottom-up approach to business reform, moving beyond theoretical learning to help participants create actionable execution plans for their specific workflows. The goal is to foster organizational self-sufficiency in AI utilization.
