Fortinet launches FortiGate 1200G and reports SASE billings surpass $2 billion

Fortinet announced the FortiGate 1200G series, a high‑performance firewall built for AI‑driven workloads and hybrid environments. The new devices combine local enforcement with FortiSASE Outpost, offering flexible 10G, 25G and 100G connectivity, hardware‑rooted security and low‑latency inspection of encrypted traffic. Founder and CEO Ken Xie said the product addresses “data sovereignty, performance, privacy and AI infrastructure requirements.”

In its second‑quarter 2026 results, Fortinet said billings for its Unified SASE platform more than doubled, driving the combined SASE firewall business to over $2 billion – a 34% increase year over year. FortiSASE adoption reached 19% of the company’s large‑enterprise base, and a seven‑figure contract was secured with a global pharmaceutical firm covering more than 45,000 users.
