Fortín Lugones hospital conducts oral health workshop for children
The Government of Formosa, through the Ministry of Human Development, conducted an educational session on oral health for students at JIN N°37 in Fortín Lugones. The initiative, led by the dentistry service of the Fortín Lugones Hospital, aimed to encourage healthy habits in young children to prevent cavities and other dental diseases.
During the didactic session, which utilized models for demonstration, professionals emphasized proper brushing techniques and the importance of consuming nutritious foods that support dental development. Dr. Rosana Cabana, director of the Fortín Lugones Hospital, highlighted that prevention is the most effective tool for oral health and noted that adults serve as primary role models for children in establishing these habits. Medical professionals also recommended that children visit a dentist at least twice a year for regular check-ups to detect issues early and avoid future complications.
