Agricultural sector updates across Paraguay and Argentina

Various agricultural developments and events are taking place across South America. In Paraguay, Sola Marca is hosting a livestock auction featuring 831 certified cattle from the Presidente Hayes, Boquerón, and San Pedro regions.

In Argentina, several sector-specific initiatives are underway. The INTA Pocito is hosting technical sessions for the olive industry as part of ArgOliva 2026. In Mendoza, INTA is organizing technical workshops on alfalfa cultivation in San Rafael and General Alvear to support the growing livestock sector. Additionally, ACA Semillas showcased its seed and technology portfolio, including soybean and corn varieties, at the Aapresid 2026 Congress in Rosario.

In the Formosa region, the PAIPPA Institute is organizing the Paippera Livestock Fair in Fortín Soledad, involving approximately 56 families and 760 head of cattle. Furthermore, a regional meeting in Montevideo will discuss using natural gas from sources like Vaca Muerta to develop a regional market for nitrogenous fertilizers to reduce import dependency in the Cono Sur.
