Fortnite confirms Five Nights at Freddy’s crossover for Fortnitemares 2026
Epic Games has officially confirmed a major crossover between Fortnite and the horror franchise Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNaF) for the annual Fortnitemares event, scheduled to begin on October 1, 2026.
The collaboration will introduce Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria as a new Point of Interest (POI) on the Battle Royale map. Within this location, players can encounter animatronic bosses including Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. The event is expected to feature specialized gameplay mechanics where players must survive encounters with these characters.
Cosmetic items will also be added to the Item Shop, including character skins for the four original animatronics—potentially featuring ‘Withered’ styles—as well as accessories such as Chica’s Cupcake, various backblings, and themed footwear. The announcement has already achieved record-breaking engagement on social media, surpassing previous major Fortnite reveals such as Dragon Ball Z and the Avengers.
