Fortnite introduces Kingdom Hearts crossover and gameplay items

Fortnite has launched a major crossover with the Kingdom Hearts franchise as part of Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. The collaboration introduces playable characters including Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Roxas to the game.

Beyond cosmetic items, the update integrates specific gameplay mechanics. The iconic Keyblade has been added as a Mythic melee weapon that allows players to perform close-range combos and trigger lightning strikes against opponents. Additionally, Sea-Salt Ice Cream has been introduced as a consumable item that restores both health and shields.

Visual changes to the game environment include a heart-shaped moon in the sky. Epic Games has also scheduled dedicated Power Hours for September 19, during which all players will have access to Kingdom Hearts equipment at the start of their matches.
