Fortnite launches Chapter 7 Season 4 with gaming crossovers

Epic Games has launched Chapter 7 Season 4 of Fortnite, titled ‘Override’ (also referred to as ‘Glitch’). The new season features a massive crossover celebrating gaming history, incorporating characters and elements from iconic franchises including Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Tetris, and Crash Bandicoot.

Key gameplay updates include the introduction of ‘Override Consoles,’ which allow players to rewrite server-wide rules, and the return of ‘Spirits,’ which provide unique combat and mobility buffs. Players can also utilize ‘Lobby Hacks’ and ‘Cheat Codes’ via an admin panel to unlock free rewards such as XP, Sprite Dust, and cosmetic items like special Sprites and loading screens.

The season introduces new locations like the Green Hill Zone and features legendary weapons such as Mega Man’s ‘Mega Buster.’ Additionally, a new ‘Sprite Garden’ mode has been added, serving as a personal space for players to collect, store, and observe the various Sprites gathered during matches.
