Fortnite rumors suggest One Piece collaboration may be replaced by generic anime theme

Speculation regarding a major collaboration between Fortnite and the One Piece franchise has faced new challenges following recent promotional developments. While players previously anticipated a crossover based on the appearance of a large pirate chest near Sunken Shores, new evidence suggests a different direction for the upcoming mini-season.

Promotional posters discovered in the Madrid metro feature original characters created by Epic Games using a cel-shaded animation style, rather than established characters like Luffy. This suggests the studio may be opting for a more generic anime aesthetic instead of an exclusive partnership with Eiichiro Oda’s work.

The mysterious pirate chest, which features a Jolly Roger, has been appearing in stages on the Battle Royale map. While its presence initially fueled One Piece theories, the physical marketing in Spain appears to contradict these community predictions.
