Fortress Festival completes 2027 lineup for fifth anniversary

Fortress Festival has announced the final additions to its 2027 lineup, marking the fifth anniversary of the event. The festival is scheduled to take place from May 28 to May 30, 2027, at the Scarborough Spa on the North Yorkshire coast.

The completed roster features headliners including Emperor, performing an exclusive UK concert, and the Colorado-based melodic black metal band Stormkeep. New additions to the lineup include German acts Ultha and Firtan, as well as Austrian band Perchta, who will make their UK debut. Blood Countess has also been added to the Friday night ‘Fortress: First Light’ pre-show.

The festival will also feature a dungeon synth stage in the venue's theater, hosting projects such as Frostgard, Erang, Wraith Knight, Spectral Castle, Hole Dweller, Atlantean Sword, and Lord Bakartia. Festival director Gary Stephenson noted that the event is already nearing its final ticket allocation for the anniversary year.
