Turkey launches youth summer school programs in Eskişehir, Kocaeli and Konya

Turkey's youth organisations inaugurated several summer school programmes aimed at primary and secondary students. The Türkiye Gençlik Vakfı (TÜGVA) held a launch in Eskişehir with TÜGVA president İbrahim Beşinci and local officials, announcing a six‑week camp for elementary and middle‑school pupils that will combine religious education, sports, arts and cultural activities.

Kocaeli’s metropolitan municipality opened applications for its Akademi Lise Yaz Okulu, a five‑week programme for 9th‑12th graders and graduates under 21. The curriculum offers academic tutoring in core subjects, workshops ranging from 3‑D design to traditional crafts, and outdoor and sports events. Applications close on 30 June.

Konya’s Büyükşehir Belediyesi started registration for the Lise Medeniyet Akademileri (LİMA) summer school. A seven‑week track for grades 9‑11 runs from 6 July to 22 August, while a YKS‑focused session for 12th‑grade students and recent graduates runs from 13 July to 29 August. Subjects include Quranic studies, values education, science, language and critical‑thinking courses, alongside workshops and camp activities. Registration ends on 30 June.
