Forza Horizon 6 leads 2026 first-party game revenue estimates
Estimates from Alinea Analytics identify the highest-earning first-party video games for PlayStation and Xbox in 2026. Forza Horizon 6, developed by Playground Games, leads the list with an estimated 8.8 million copies sold and $579.2 million in revenue. A significant portion of its earnings, approximately 56.7%, originated from the Xbox ecosystem, while over 10 million users played the title via Game Pass.
Marvel’s Wolverine by Insomniac Games holds the second position, generating approximately $192.9 million from 2.5 million copies sold on PS5. Following closely is MLB The Show 26 with an estimated $192.7 million in revenue. Other notable performers in the 2026 rankings include Gears of War: E-Day with $42.1 million and Saros by Housemarque with $40.4 million.
While Forza Horizon 6 has seen massive success, analysts note that a PS5 version is expected in early 2027, which could potentially allow the title to challenge the lifetime revenue of Gran Turismo 7.
