Forza Horizon 6 to release on PS5 in January 2027

Playground Games has officially announced that Forza Horizon 6 will release on PlayStation 5 on January 26, 2027. This follows the game's initial launch on Xbox and PC in May 2026. Players who purchase the Premium Edition will receive early access starting January 21, 2027, which coincides with the release of the game's first paid expansion and a free content update for all players.

The PS5 version is expected to feature technical modes including a 4K resolution at 30 FPS Quality mode and a 60 FPS Performance mode. The title will support cross-play and cross-progression, allowing users to share community-created liveries and tuning settings across Xbox, PC, and PlayStation platforms.

Despite the delay for PlayStation users, the studio confirmed that a physical disc edition will be available for the PS5. However, due to the game's large file size exceeding 150 GB, the disc will function primarily as an access key requiring a significant digital download. The game is set in a detailed rendition of Japan.
