Forza Italia addresses elderly care and family support needs

Forza Italia has highlighted the growing challenges facing elderly citizens and their caregivers, particularly in the province of Lecco. In Lecco, individuals over 65 currently comprise approximately one-quarter of the population, with projections suggesting they could reach 30% by 2050.

The political group emphasizes the need to support families struggling to balance work requirements with the daily care of aging relatives. They noted that the Lombardy Region has established a network involving local municipalities and health authorities to provide economic contributions, vouchers, and home-care support to assist non-self-sufficient elderly residents.
