Forza Italia calls for increased security presence in Milan
Antonio Tajani, leader of Forza Italia, convened an extraordinary meeting of party leadership to address recent outbreaks of violence in Milan and other Italian cities. The party is calling for the immediate deployment of additional law enforcement and military units to reinforce existing security measures, such as the ‘Strade Sicure’ program, to protect citizens and businesses.
Forza Italia is also advocating for the recruitment of new security personnel and stricter measures regarding minors involved in civil unrest. The party proposes legislative changes to facilitate the arrest of minors aged 14 to 17, particularly in cases involving looting and destruction. Additionally, Tajani suggested convening the Council of Ministers in Milan to demonstrate state presence and solidarity with affected residents and business owners.
