Forza Italia disputes Aquapur governance agreement in Capannori

In Capannori, Forza Italia has challenged the Democratic Party regarding the governance of Aquapur, the entity managing the Casa del Lupo water treatment plant in Porcari. Pietro Ori, the municipal vice-secretary for Forza Italia, contested the Democratic Party's characterization of a recent agreement between partner municipalities as a success.

Ori noted that the mayor had previously designated Mimmo Abd Elaziz to the board without gender quota concerns, but a reversal occurred following anonymous complaints to the Prefecture of Lucca and the National Anti-Corruption Authority (Anac). The final agreement resulted in a vice-presidency rather than the previously anticipated presidency, leading the opposition to demand greater transparency regarding political appointments and municipal promises.
