Forza Italia Tivoli placed under administration amid political dispute

The Forza Italia party section in Tivoli has been placed under administration, leading to internal conflict and criticism from political opponents. Fabio Capolei, the Provincial Vice Secretary, announced the decision on September 15, appointing Franco Spoto as the new commissioner.

Giorgio Strafonda, the outgoing secretary and deputy mayor, has condemned the move as an ‘abuse of political and organizational power.’ He argued that the decision bypasses democratic structures and local leadership without prior consultation. Strafonda has demanded the withdrawal of Spoto’s appointment and a formal explanation for the takeover.

The Italian Socialist Party (PSI) in Tivoli has also weighed in, stating that the move exposes a crisis within the local center-right majority. The PSI group suggested that internal power struggles and shifting party allegiances are hindering the city's administration and called for the Mayor to take responsibility for the current political instability.
