Fossa wins historic Kerry intermediate football title

Fossa has secured its first Kerry intermediate football championship title following a 0-26 to 0-22 victory over Kilcummin. The win marks a significant milestone for the club, which competed at the novice level only a decade ago. This victory also guarantees Fossa promotion to the Kerry senior football ranks for the 2027 season.

David Clifford was the standout performer, contributing 0-15 to the total score. While Kilcummin maintained control for much of the first half, Fossa improved significantly after the interval. A series of scores from Clifford, including several two-point efforts, allowed Fossa to take the lead and maintain control through the closing stages. The Clifford brothers, David and Paudie, both played key roles in the achievement.
