Fossacesia launches road safety education campaign

The municipality of Fossacesia has launched a new road safety campaign under the slogan “Un attimo di prudenza vale una vita intera” (A moment of prudence is worth an entire life). The initiative aims to raise awareness regarding the dangers of speeding, distraction, risky overtaking, and mobile phone use while driving.

Coordinated by Mayor Enrico Di Giuseppantonio, the program includes educational meetings with students from the Fossacesia Comprehensive Institute, which also serves the schools in Santa Maria Imbaro and Mozzagrogna. The campaign seeks to create a shared educational path involving local administrations, families, and law enforcement.

In addition to school-based activities, the local police will conduct prevention actions and other initiatives aimed at the general citizenry. The administration emphasized that while controls and sanctions are necessary, prevention and education are equally vital for protecting lives on the road.
