Foster + Partners to launch first Brazilian residential project in Praia Brava
The British architectural firm Foster + Partners is launching its first residential project in Brazil, titled Tempo, located in Praia Brava, Itajaí. Developed by the real estate company Müze, the project stands in contrast to the high-rise verticalization seen in nearby Balneário Camboriú.
The development features seven residential buildings and a tower for Hotel Emiliano. Rather than focusing on extreme height, the design follows the natural topography of the terrain using curved lines that emerge from the hillside. The project includes 83 residences with unique floor plans, connected by gardens, open passages, and large balconies.
Müze was formed through a partnership between ZAH Empreendimentos, Nastás Engenharia, and F2M Empreendimentos Imobiliários, with investments from entrepreneurs Guilherme Weege, Juliano Custódio, and Alan Eccel. The partnership with Foster + Partners is expected to expand to two additional locations in the Santa Catarina coastline.
