Foton prepares Tunland V9 PHEV plug-in hybrid for European market

Foton is expanding its European lineup with the introduction of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version of the Tunland V9 pick-up. This new model joins existing diesel options in the Spanish market.

The Tunland V9 PHEV utilizes a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine combined with two electric motors and a 4DHT electromechanical transmission. The powertrain delivers 380 CV and 800 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 32.8 kWh battery, providing an estimated electric range of up to 110 kilometers. Drivers can choose between electric, hybrid, or thermal-priority modes, including a mode where the combustion engine acts as a generator.

Designed for both work and comfort, the vehicle features a 3.35-meter wheelbase, 240 mm ground clearance, and a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tons. The interior includes a 14.6-inch central screen, digital instrumentation, and wireless connectivity. Additionally, the vehicle includes a 220-volt outlet, allowing the battery to serve as an external power source for tools or emergency situations.
