Foton to launch Tunland double-cab pick-up in UK by 2027

Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Foton is preparing to introduce its Tunland double-cab pick-up to the United Kingdom market in early 2027. The vehicle is designed to serve both professional and leisure users, featuring a cabin that seats five and a practical load bed.

The Tunland will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. To improve ride quality, particularly when the vehicle is unladen, it is equipped with a multi-link rear suspension.

Interior features are expected to include a large central touchscreen, digital instrument displays, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging, and a panoramic roof. Foton UK Brand Manager David Clark stated that the model represents the brand’s ambition to provide a compelling alternative in the pick-up market, noting that global engineering partnerships have influenced the vehicle's development.
