Fougères launches mental health resource guide for youth

In Fougères, France, a new mental health resource guide has been developed to support young people, their families, and healthcare professionals. The guide provides practical information, including listening and support locations, professional services, advice, and emergency contact numbers.

The initiative was led by the local medico-psychological center (CMP) through a collaborative working group involving youth. The project is the result of several months of partnership between the Fougères mental health collective, the Territorial Professional Health Community (CPTS) of Fougères, various associations, and local authorities including Fougères Agglomération and the City of Fougères.

This practical tool aims to assist during moments of distress and will be distributed through schools, health centers, town halls, and other partner organizations. The development follows the 2023 creation of a local mental health council (CLSM) by Fougères Agglomération, Couesnon Marches de Bretagne, and Vitré communauté.
