Fountaine Pajot updates catamaran lineup with new models

French shipyard Fountaine Pajot is restructuring its catamaran lineup, transitioning from traditional island-themed names to a size-based designation system. Under the new branding, smaller models are prefixed with FP, while vessels 70 feet and above use FPY.

The FP44, which replaces the Elba 45, features design improvements such as longer hull windows for increased light and a modified deck with a pronounced hull chine to enhance interior volume. The model also offers extensive solar coverage options on the coachroof and foredeck.

In the larger sailing catamaran segment, the FP55 has been introduced as the new flagship, featuring a flybridge with a hardtop and a central helm station for 360-degree visibility. Additionally, the FP48 has been released to replace the Tanna 47. These new models emphasize improved traffic flow and enhanced social spaces, such as deep forward cockpits with dedicated amenities.
