Four Danish transport companies declared bankrupt
Four Odense-based companies—HA Logistik, Flex Fyn, Flex Syd, and Flex Midt—have been declared bankrupt following petitions from the Danish Debt Agency and two labor unions. These companies have operated public flex traffic in Funen and Jutland, managing contracts worth nearly 250 million DKK in recent years.
The companies were previously owned by Hussein Salem Al-Badri, who was sentenced in an Odense court in April to 13 years in prison for leading a major amphetamine smuggling operation. Following his sentencing, ownership was transferred to Yahya Majid Al-Shimmari.
During a bankruptcy hearing in the Odense bankruptcy court on Tuesday, neither the director nor a lawyer appeared, leading the court to declare all four companies bankrupt. Additionally, the Danish Business Authority removed Al-Shimmari as director of Flex Syd after being unable to verify that he was exercising actual management of the company.
