Four dead in Makwanpur electric vehicle accident

Four people died and four others were seriously injured after an electric vehicle plunged approximately 1,000 meters off a road in Indrasarovar Rural Municipality, Makwanpur, on Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle was traveling from Kathmandu toward Birgunj when the accident occurred around 2 pm along the route connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu. The deceased have been identified as Nar Bahadur Singh Thakuri, Suraj Bhattarai, Bhuvaneshwar Sah Kanu, and Sarfaroz Miyan.

A rescue operation involving the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and the Armed Police Force was deployed to the deep ravine to assist the injured. Two men and one woman were transferred to Kathmandu for medical treatment, while another injured woman was taken to a hospital in Hetauda. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
