Four human skeletons discovered in Kanksa forest, West Bengal

Four human skeletons have been discovered in a dense forest area within the Kanksa region of West Bardhaman, West Bengal. The discovery occurred in the Jathgardhia Mor area of Malandighi, causing significant alarm among local residents and authorities.

Police and forensic teams recovered the remains from deep within the forest. Notably, four ropes were found hanging from a nearby tree, and a nylon bag was discovered beneath it. Based on the size of the remains, preliminary assessments suggest that one of the skeletons may belong to a child, though this has not been officially confirmed.

Deputy Commissioner of the Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate, Rasprit Singh, stated that the remains have been identified as human and sent for forensic examination. Authorities are currently conducting DNA testing and reviewing missing persons records to identify the deceased. The investigation is focused on determining the cause of death and whether the incident is linked to criminal activity.
