Four Italian taekwondo athletes to compete in Paris Grand Prix

Four Italian taekwondo athletes are set to compete in the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Paris at the Palais des Sports Marcel-Cerdan.

In the ParaTaekwondo category, Antonino Bossolo will compete in the K44 -70 kg division, seeking a third consecutive medal following silver finishes in Rome and Muju. He is joined by Suemi Ricci in the K44 -52 kg category and Giulia Cassar in the K44 -65 kg category. Bossolo previously won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

On Friday, Simone Alessio will compete in the +80 kg category. Alessio, a member of the Vigili del Fuoco sports group, returns to competition following an injury. He is also a former Olympic bronze medalist from the Paris 2024 Games.

This event serves as the third and final stop of the Grand Prix Series before the final in Astana, offering ranking points as athletes prepare for the road to Los Angeles 2028.
