Afghanistan road accident kills four in Badakhshan province

At least four people were killed and eight others injured after a passenger vehicle overturned in the remote northern province of Badakhshan, Afghanistan. The accident occurred late Saturday as the vehicle was traveling between the Kofab and Yaftal districts.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific cause of the crash. The injured individuals were transported to a provincial hospital for medical treatment. The region of Badakhshan is characterized by rugged, mountainous terrain and limited road infrastructure, factors that frequently contribute to traffic accidents in the area.

This incident follows a series of recent fatal accidents across the country, including a crash in Takhar province in late September and a mini-bus accident in Laghman province.
