Four Men Shot While Intervening in Fight in San Francisco Tenderloin

On Saturday just before 1 a.m., four men who tried to stop an argument between a stranger man and woman were shot in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, at the corner of Mason and Market streets. The man in the altercation produced a firearm, fired on the would‑be Good Samaritans and fled the scene.

All four victims were taken to hospital and are expected to survive. Police say suspects have been identified but no arrests have been made. District 5 supervisor Bilal Mahmood posted on X, "I was present at the crime scene and spoke to officers on the scene… Thanks to the actions of SFPD and RTIC, suspects have been identified," praising the first‑responders. No motive or details of the original argument were released.
