Four police officers arrested in Tres de Febrero

Four officers from the Ecological and Dangerous Substances Police Delegation in Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires province, have been arrested following an operation by the Argentine Federal Police. The detainees include a sub-commissioner, a first lieutenant, a lieutenant, and a captain. The former head of the unit had been transferred by the provincial Ministry of Security on October 6.

The operation, ordered by the San Martín courts, took place during the early hours of Wednesday at the police headquarters on Maldonado Street. During the raid, investigators seized judicial files, duty logs, and attendance sheets. While official authorities have not confirmed the specific charges, unofficial reports suggest the investigation may be linked to an industrial waste collection company and potential extortion.
