Four Prodac Employees Arrested in Linguère, Senegal

On 28 July, police of the urban corps of the Linguère police station halted a vehicle acting suspiciously on a city street. The car stopped abruptly, reversed, and two rolls of greenhouse tarpaulin were found on the sidewalk. Officers entered the area, discovered the tarps and immediately began searches, leading to the arrest of four suspects.

The four men – identified as Mamadou S. (22), Yaya B. (24), Moussa B. (24) and Abou T. (24) – all claim to work as greenhouse installers and are employees of the Programme national des Domaines agricoles communautaires (Prodac). They have been placed in custody and are being prosecuted for “association of malicious persons and robbery in concert to the prejudice of their employer.” An investigation has been opened.
