Four Roses unveils honey cask-finished Experimental Series No. 002

Four Roses has announced the second installment of its limited-edition Experimental Series, featuring a honey cask-finished bourbon labeled Experimental Series No. 002. The whiskey blends the distillery’s OBSK and OESQ recipes, which consist of 6, 7, and 8-year-old bourbons. The liquid undergoes a finishing process of three to nine months in barrels previously used for the distillery’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Honey, produced in partnership with Bohman Bee Company.

The expression is bottled at 52% ABV (104 proof) and is a distillery exclusive. This release marks only the second cask-finished bourbon in the company’s 138-year history, following the Mizunara Cask Finish released earlier this year.

In related whiskey news, Jack Daniel’s is expanding the distribution of its American Single Malt across the United States. The 100% malted barley whiskey, which debuted in travel retail in 2023, will now become an annual release.
