Four Seasons I luxury cruise docks in Opatija, boosting Croatia’s high‑end tourism

The Four Seasons I, described as the world’s most luxurious floating hotel, arrived in Opatija’s harbour on Monday. Built by Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard at a cost of over €400 million, the 207‑metre vessel holds 95 premium suites and can accommodate about 190 guests, offering a highly personalised experience.

The visit marks the first Four Seasons‑branded cruise ship to call Croatia home, underscoring Opatija’s growing reputation as a premium Mediterranean destination. Local tourism officials welcomed the yacht, noting strong interest in the city’s gastronomy, beaches and cultural attractions. The ship is slated to continue along the Adriatic, calling at Šibenik, Vodice, Korčula, Dubrovnik and even Portonovi in Montenegro, with the regional cruise season expecting up to 13 more vessels by September.
