Four Seasons I luxury yacht docks in Opatija, boosting high‑end tourism

The Four Seasons I, billed as the world’s most luxurious floating hotel, arrived in Opatija’s harbour on 22 June, marking its first visit to the Croatian resort. Built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri at a cost of over €400 million, the 207‑metre megayacht offers 95 ultra‑luxury apartments and accommodates roughly 190 guests and a comparable crew, emphasizing personalised service. The vessel’s itinerary for the season includes stops along the Dalmatian coast—Šibenik, Vodice, Korčula, Dubrovnik—and a port call in Montenegro, with further scheduled visits to Opatija through 2027.

Tourism officials welcomed the guests at a hospitality desk, providing information on the city’s heritage, gastronomy, beaches and other attractions. The arrival is seen as a significant endorsement of Opatija’s status as a premium Mediterranean destination, enhancing its visibility on the global luxury‑travel market and promising promotional benefits for the region’s tourism sector.
