Four Seasons opens luxury resort on Mykonos, expanding Greek portfolio

Four Seasons has opened its first resort on a Greek island, the Four Seasons Mykonos, marking the brand’s second property in Greece after the Astir Palace hotel in Athens. The new 94‑room resort, designed by Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis and interior‑styled by Wimberly Interiors, features cycladic white‑washed architecture, private pools, villas and a range of sea‑view rooms and suites.

The Athens Astir Palace hotel, which the Four Seasons took over in the 1960s, now runs a "Crafted in Greece" program that offers guests cultural experiences such as artisan workshops, olive‑oil and wine tastings, traditional dance classes and day trips to sites like the Acropolis and Meteora, positioning the hotel as a gateway to the country rather than a closed‑off luxury bubble.
