Four Seasons Yacht and Qatar Emir's Al Lusail Showcase Ultra‑Luxury Megayacht Market

Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has spent more than £320 million on a 207‑metre megayacht, the Four Seasons Yacht, featuring 91 suites and a range of high‑end amenities. The vessel, designed for fewer than 200 guests, commands nightly rates of $7,000‑$10,000 per suite, with seven‑night Adriatic itineraries priced between $30,000 and $50,000. Four Seasons plans to add a second yacht and build a fleet to compete with other luxury yacht collections.

The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, returned his megayacht Al Lusail to the Spanish port of Tarragona after a €35 million refurbishment at the German Lürssen shipyard. The 123‑metre vessel, valued at around €500 million, can accommodate up to 36 guests in 18 suites and includes a helipad, multiple pools, a spa, cinema and other five‑star hotel facilities. The yacht’s renewed presence underscores the continued appeal of the Mediterranean for Gulf royalty and other ultra‑wealthy owners.
