Four teams withdraw from U17 Volleyball World Championship in Qatar

The upcoming U17 Volleyball World Championship in Qatar has faced significant organizational changes following the withdrawal of four national teams: the Czech Republic, Japan, the United States, and Puerto Rico. While the FIVB has not issued an official statement regarding the reasons, reports suggest the decisions stem from security concerns related to the political situation in the Middle East.

As a result of these withdrawals, organizers were forced to restructure the tournament format and conduct a new draw. The competition will now feature 20 teams divided into five groups of four, rather than the original six-group format.

The Polish U-17 national team, coached by Sebastian Pawlik and Maciej Zendeła, has been placed in Group C. Their opponents following the redraw will be Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. Poland is scheduled to begin their campaign against Argentina on August 19.
