Foursquare Gospel Church hosts youth sports evangelism in Lagos

The Foursquare Gospel Church, District Headquarters in Sabo, recently held the fifth edition of its Sports Fiesta at the University of Lagos Sports Centre. The program, known as Sports Fiesta 5.0, utilizes athletic competition as a method for youth evangelism, targeting teenagers aged 13 to 19.

Participants competed in various team sports, track and field events, and social games organized into four houses representing the cardinal doctrines of the church. Red House secured the overall victory with 12 gold medals, followed by Yellow House in second place, Blue House in third, and Purple House in fourth.

Beyond the physical competitions, the initiative integrates spiritual components including worship, teaching, prayer, and counseling. Organizers stated the program aims to provide a safe environment for teenagers to build relationships while receiving spiritual and personal support.
