FOVIAL hosts engineering fair to modernize El Salvador road network

The Road Conservation Fund (FOVIAL) is hosting the IX Engineering Fair 2026 in El Salvador. Under the theme “Let’s share our knowledge,” the event serves as a technical hub for national leaders and international delegations from Costa Rica, Colombia, and Paraguay to exchange expertise on structural evaluations, advanced construction materials, and innovative execution methods.

FOVIAL Executive Director Alexander Beltrán stated the congress aims to foster technical progress by sharing new materials and techniques with construction companies and infrastructure institutions. The event includes participation from government officials and industry leaders such as the Salvadoran Asphalt Institute and the Salvadoran Cement and Concrete Institute.

Separately, FOVIAL reported that national road connectivity remains at 100% despite recent rainfall across various regions of El Salvador. Director Beltrán confirmed that roads remain open and unobstructed, noting that strategic teams have been deployed to mountainous areas to manage emergencies and maintain mobility for drivers and pedestrians.
